Nitza Medina-Garcia is a Certified Records Manager who works as Senior Consultant of Records Management for Autonomy an HP company. Ms. Medina-Garcia works with organizations around the world to implement records management, document management and electronic discovery software.
Prior to Ms. Medina-Garcia’s work with Autonomy, she worked as a corporate records manager for the Episcopal Church headquarters in New York City and as an archivist with Hunter College of New York. Ms. Medina-Garcia obtained her Masters in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute, one of the oldest library schools in the nation. She was also a former president of the Greater Sacramento ARMA chapter.
Ms. Medina-Garcia will be presenting our May seminar on eDiscovery: What Records Managers Need to Know. Organizations are transacting more and more of their business via electronic methods. It is imperative that Records Managers understand what is eDisovery and how their legal hold process can be translated from a paper world to an electronic one. Ms. Medina-Garcia will cover the basics of eDiscovery:
