Its sole purpose is to provide education, research, and networking opportunities to information professionals, to enable them to use their skills and experience to leverage the value of records, information, and knowledge as corporate assets and as contributors to organizational success. ARMA International also promotes and advances all activities leading to improvement in the records and information management profession through study, education, and research. ARMA International is dedicated to helping individuals, organizations, and governments successfully meet the challenges of the increasingly complex and information management field. Membership with ARMA International would strengthen and provide professional and business opportunities necessary to help Records Professionals stay current with the latest advances in records and information management technology, and promote and implement scientific approaches to solving records and information management problems.
